Moscow Metro opened its 200th station, Salaryevo, RBC news agency reported. The new station is now the southernmost stop of the metro’s Red Line.
The Salaryevo station is located beyond the Moscow Ring Road (MKAD), between Kievskoye Shosse and the village of Salaryevo.
Salaryevo is the second metro station opened this year. The Rumyantsevo station, also on the Red Line, was opened earlier this year.
“It is a huge event. The new station will serve a large district of New Moscow,” Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said at the opening ceremony.
