Czech company AZD Praha has won a 6.1 million euros tender for the overhaul of the interlocking system of the railway station in Podgorica. Under the terms of the deal, Podgorica railway station will be equipped with ESA 44 interlocking system, three level crossing systems and LED signals.
“By signing the contract, we continue in our successful mission in Southeast Europe, where we have managed to get several orders in three countries. This opens the path for new orders, for example, in Montenegro, where another seven stations on the Bjelo Polje – Bar line are to be modernised,” the CEO of AZD Praha, Zdenek Chrdle, said.
AZD Praha said it has also signed a contract with Montenegrin railway infrastructure administrator Zeljeznicka Infrastruktura Crne Gore (ZICG) for the supply and installation of heating of railway points for the Ostrog and Niksic stations. AZD Praha Saobracajni sistemi, the subsidiary of the Czech company based in Belgrade, Serbia, will be significantly involved in the implementation of the project.
