Monorail could be approved for Ekaterinburg, the TASS reports, quted by Russian Rail Consulting.
Sverdlovsk Oblast is considering establishing a rail link between its capital, Ekaterinburg, and Verkhnyaya Pyshma. “Denis Pasler, Head of the Sverdlovsk Oblast Government, gave an assignment to prepare two options – monorail and tram”, the Government’s Press Service reported.
The project is to be funded by Ural Mining and Metallurgy Company (UGMK) headquartered in Verkhnyaya Pyshma.
