Serbian rail network operator Infrastruktura Zeleznice Srbije has completed a project for the overhaul of the Topcider-Rakovica-Resnik section of the Belgrade-Bar railway line, part of pan-European transport Corridor X. The value of the project was EUR 23.8 million.
In addition to the overhaul of the railway line, the project included the modernisation of the Resnik and Rakovica railway stations. The works were carried out by China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) and were funded by the proceeds of a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
