Bulgarian Minister of Transport Ivailo Moskovski emphasized the importance of building a new rail link to Burgas Airport. “Together with the Mayor of the City we have discussed the design on the railway connection to Sunny Beach. Within a month the project will be ready and if funding is provided, we shall launch it soon. The start of the Burgas railway junction, which will provide access to the airport, is due to begin. Thus the tourists and city residents will have a convenient connection with the bus station, the railway station and the airport,” the Moskovski said.
Burgas Airport is the second largest airport in the country after the Sofia International Airport, which benefits from its own rail link since 2015.
