Metrovagonmash, part of Transmashholding, has started since 1 April providing maintenance for Moscow’s metro rolling stock at the Planernoye depot. The company’s maintenance centre at the Planernoye depot is the seventh of this kind to be opened.
The company will provide operational and maintenance services for Moskva cars. One metro train of the new series is currently being operated at the depot; 26 more trains are expected to be put into operation by the end of 2018. The Planernoye depot will be fully equipped with train sets by the end of 2019, when 43 Moskva trains (344 cars) are to enter service.
