Hungarian railway company MÁV-Start plans to produce its own railway cars. The project is estimated at approximately HUF 30 billion (EUR 96 million).
The company is planning to create 100 units by 2019, at HUF 300 million (EUR 962,000) per vehicle. The IC+ model vehicles will be air conditioned and able to run at speeds of up to 200 km/h. The funds will be provided by the Hungarian state between 2016 and 2019.
