Hungarian railway company MÁV Zrt will put into service one of Bombardier’s double-decker trains for three weeks. The train consists of two passenger cars and a locomotive.
MÁV asked several manufacturers of rolling stock if it could try out their double-decker trains, and Bombardier agreed, head of MÁV’s passenger division Miklós Devecz said. Bombardier’s double-decker passenger cars cost about EUR 1 million per unit, depending on how they are outfitted.
