Malaysia interested in Japanese rail technology

JR_EastJapanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe met with his visiting Malaysian counterpart Najib Razak, putting an eye on the transfer of Japan’s bullet train technology to the Southeast Asian country, but the two sides reached no deal during the summit, Xinhua reports.
Malaysia and Singapore eyed to link their capital cities by a high-speed railway system so as to reduce travel time between the two cities from current four hours by car. Bullet train technology owners like France, Germany and South Korea are all reportedly interested in the project.
Abe “expressed his hope” that the project will adopt Japan’s shinkansen bullet train system.
