According to Samruk Kazyna National Welfare, it is planned to commission a new transport and logistics center in October 2016 in the southern Kazakhstan.
The project is being implemented by Kazakhstan Railways (Kazakhstan Temir Zholy), which is a member of the Fund.
The new center is located in two kilometers distance from Shymkent International Airport, four kilometers – from the Western Europe – Western China International Transit Corridor and 500 meters – from the Trans-Asian Railway (TAR).
A significant part of the work on the project has already been completed. The goods imported from China and Russia for Kazakhstan’s southern regions will also be distributed at this center.
