Ust-Katav Wagon-Building Plant (UKVZ) won tenders to supply Krasnodar city a total of 56 unidirectional trams of model 71-623-04.
The first batch of 29 vehicles will be delivered this year, while the rest of the 27 trams are expected to arrive in the city in 2021.
All trams will be 100% low floor, and they will be equipped with climate control system, electronic displays, USB, GPS/Glonass system, Wi-Fi and modern information systems.
In 2019, UKVZ has delivered to Krasnodar 31 unidirectional vehicles and four 3-section trams which were specifically manufactured for Krasnodar and are called “Kuban”.
“Our collaboration with Krasnodar, which began in 2019, will continue as we will be able to provide the city with another batch of modern and comfortable trams,” said Roman Novikov, the director general of UKVZ said.
