Now, the station is fitted with new metal awnings, an underpass, entirely renovated stairways, new elevators equipped with itineraries and tactile maps, and raising of all sidewalks to 55 centimetres. All new features guarantee travelers better usability of the station. Additionally, the entire station building and the atrium have been redeveloped with facelift restyling, roof renovations, and fixtures, as well as the renewal of signage and flooring.
The passenger information system has been renewed, a new lighting system with high energy efficiency LED lights has been installed, increasing the traveller’s perception of safety and comfort. A Wi-Fi service has also been installed at the station, which will allow travellers to stay connected and access useful travel information.
The station is situated on Rome – Cassino line, where other stations, such as Cassino, Valmontone, and Anagni, have also undergone significant redevelopment.
The projects are part of Rete Ferroviaria Italiana’s extensive programme on the refurbishment of railway stations across the network.
