EIB is considering a loan for the construction of a new metro line in Istanbul on the European side. The projecs envisages a 23 km new line that will link Mahmutbey and Kabatas.
The bank does not give more details about the amount of the proposed financing.
The Mahmutbey – Kabatas metro line project began in May 2015 and includes the construction of 25 km and 22 metro stations. The line, which is projected to open in 2018, will have sets of carriages with automated technology.
