Israel Railways is analyzing the possibility of building two underground tracks beneath the Ayalon, Tel Aviv’s main transport artery, to ease traffic congestion and answer the increased demand for railway transport.
As there are already three railway lines above ground along the Ayalon, the new tracks would be the fourth and fifth lines along this route.
Israel Railways’ operations and planning division will examine the engineering and operational aspects of the project during the following three months.
