Interporto Servizi Cargo (ISC) and Akiem signed a 10-year full-service leasing contract for 10 Traxx MS3 locomotives to be delivered in 2019. The new locomotives, produced by Bombardier, are part of the latest Traxx 3 platform. The contract includes an option for six additional locomotives.
Intended for the transport of freight trains, these locomotives will be able to operate on the Italian domestic market both on standard lines and on high speed lines thanks to their multi-system capabilities. The locomotives will also be able to circulate on both the German and the Austrian networks.
Akiem is providing ISC with a full-service leasing solution and is committed to the highest levels of reliability and efficiency to optimize the availability of locomotives. Bombardier Service Italy will provide the maintenance service for the locomotives. To be as close as possible to operations, maintenance work will also be carried out at the customer’s premises in Nola.
