On December 30, the first high-speed railway linking Beijing and North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region entered commercial operation.
The railway connection is cutting the travel time from 9-10 hours to 2 hours.
The line is linking Beijing North station and Hohhot, the capital of China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous region, passing through Zhangjiakou. The line will be another transport connection serving the 2022 Winter Olympic Games.
The line is operated by Fuxing trains.
