Indonesia will purchase around 400 locomotive engines from either General Electric Co. or Electro-Motive Diesel Inc, the Minister of Transport Ignasius Jonan said, Bloomberg reports. This project is part of the plan on railway expansion that involves the construction of 3258 km by 2019.
The development of its railway infrastructure will need the 400 locomotives and 5,000 new wagons.
