Construction of the double-track railway in Java (Indonesia) should be accelerated because it will support economic growth, Deputy Transportation Minister Bambang Susantono said.
“The double-track railway construction in northern Java is almost complete. We certainly hope that the next administration will finish these projects,” Bambang said at a seminar discussing the national logistics system.
According to Bambang, the construction of double-track railways in the northern and southern parts of Java is considered important and strategic because 60 percent of the national economy is still centered in Java.
