In 2018 over RUB 1 billion (EUR 14.2 million) will be provided for financing new equipment acquisitions by Bryansk Machine-Building Plant, part of Transmashholding, a five-fold increase compared to 2017. Last year, Bryansk Machine-Building Plant’s investment in new equipment amounted to over RUB 200 million (EUR 2.8 million).
Four new robotic units will be implemented in the bogie workshop in 2018. They will provide almost complete automation of assembling and welding processes of the frames, thus ensuring work efficiency, stability and quality. The purchase of two painting and drying chambers for diesel locomotives is also on the schedule. Commissioning of the equipment will allow to significantly increase painting quality, reduce four times the drying time, decrease impact on the environment, save energy sources and, in general, improve the technological process of coloring locomotives.
The investment programme also includes the purchase of equipment to carry out control over stability and quality of the products being manufactured, control and measuring equipment for bearing housings, driving and wheel gears, as well as laser equipment for measuring frames, a bench for processing wheel-motor unit with vibrodiagnostics system simulating the operation of the wheel-motor unit under the locomotive.
