Russian and Hungarian railway CEOs, Vladimir Yakunin and Ilona Dávid, met in Yekaterinburg (Russia) where they discussed cooperation between the two countries. Both agreed that expanding rail freight and passenger services between the two countries was in their joint interest, regardless of the actual political situation.
Vladimir Yakunin and Ilona Dávid negotiated about the development of logistics services in Záhony, a railway hub in the eastern part of Hungary, close to the Hungarian-Ukrainian border. They also discussed improvement of cooperation between the Coordination Council on Trans-Siberian Transportation and its European counterpart.
