Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Transport and Bavarian Railway Company awarded Go-Ahead the contract on the operation of Allgäu Electric Network from Munich to Lindau.
Under the 12-year contract, which will start in 2021, Go-Ahead will operate the Munich – Buchloe – Memmingen – Kißlegg – Hergatz – Lindau route.
“With the Allgäu Electric Network we are delighted to now be able to operate our fourth network in Germany, and with our high-quality service we want to win over additional passengers for our regional operations,” Stefan Krispin, Managing Director of Go-Ahead said.
With a total of around 2.6 million train kilometres, the route is especially used by commuters and is an important connection in the region. After already winning three networks in Baden-Württemberg with links to Bavaria, this is the first collaboration with Bavarian Railway Company.
