French Council of State has canceled the decision taken last year for the implementation of Poitiers-Limoges high-speed rail. The Council says that “the disadvantages of the project outweighed its benefits”.
On January 10, 2015, Poitiers-Limoges HSR was declared by the Prime Minister as a public utility and urgented the works necessary for the project.
The Council said that it was unclear the financing sources of the EUR 1.6 billion project.
