Iranian President, Hassan Rouhani, and Tehran Mayor, Pirouz Hanachi, inaugurated the first section of capital’s metro Line 6.
The section has a length of 9 km served by three stations and when it will be completed, it will have 38 km and 27 stations, connecting Shahr-e Rey in southeast Tehran to the famed Sulqan rural district in the northwest. The line has interchange stations with the existing four lines and the future Line 7.
It is expected that in the first quarter of 2020 another section of 15 km will be put into commercial operation.
