Bursa Metropolitan Municipality and Durmazlar signed the contract for the supply of new 60 LRVs and 12 trams. Durmazlar was the only company to submit bids last month. Durmazlar will deliver 2 LRVs and 2 trams within 6 month. Light rail vehicles will begin 6 months after delivery, all to be delivered in 30 months. The trams will be delivered 14 months later.
Durmazlar Chairman of the Board, Hüseyin Durmaz, in his speech, gave information on the production of domestic vehicles.
„Our goal is to sell these vehicles to other cities of Turkey as well as to export abroad. Annual export share of companies as Bombardier or others USD 5 billion. If we can reach to this level, huge potential of USD 50 billion over 10 years could emerge”, Durmaz added.
