The Transport Authority of Dresden, DVB, has presented on January 6 a full-sized mock-up of the new Flexity LRV manufactured by Bombardier Transportation.
Between 8 and 19 January, the authority is presenting the mock-up at Dresden Museum of Transport.
The mock-up was developed by Robur Prototyping & Materials GmbH in Chemnitz and represents the walk-in interior together with the driver’s cabin. In addition to the full-size model, DVB offers visitors a virtual tour in 3D animations of the entire new LRV, comprising its interior and exterior.
In August, DVB and Bombardier Transportation signed a EUR 197 million contract for the delivery of 30 Flexity trams, with an option for 10 additional LRVs.
It is expected that the new trams are to be delivered by October 2023.
