Deutsche Bahn (DB) has launched a new engineering and consulting business for the UK. The new subsidiary will combine the company’s existing DB Systemtechnik, ESG Rail and DB Engineering & Consulting business units, focussing on engineering services for both the infrastructure and rolling stock markets.
Christoph Kirschinger, general manager sales, DB Systemtechnik, said: “We believe the UK to be an important market for us and think that our global experience in the fields of rolling stock engineering, high speed, infrastructure and light rail will bring many benefits to this market.
Nick Goodhand, general manager and engineering director, ESG Rail, added: “DB’s international expertise, coupled with our local rolling stock knowledge, makes us an ideal partner for railway projects in the UK.”
