DB Engineering & Consulting has acquired the Mainz-based IT company infraView, which is specialized in developing digital solutions for monitoring, inspecting and analyzing infrastructure assets and vehicles.
“Working together with infraView’s specialists, we are broadening our expertise to encompass more digitalization topics. We translate the opportunities and potential that digitalization offers for infrastructure and rail vehicles into advantages for our customers in Germany and around the world,” said Niko Warbanoff, Chairman of the Board of Managing Directors of DB Engineering & Consulting.
infraView created the DIANA diagnostics and analytics platform for DB. This is one of the world’s largest digital switch diagnostics platforms and is connected to more than 20,000 switches. Its intelligent diagnosis and analysis of data allows maintenance and damage repair required on infrastructure and vehicles to be identified and carried out before problems arise. This can reduce the number of switch malfunctions by up to 50% for instance, contributing to higher quality and punctuality in rail operations.
infraView was founded in 2011 and Deutsche Bahn has been the strong partner from the beginning, as the first infraView’s project was a pilot implementation for DB.
