The state-owned Railway Infrastructure Administration has plans to renovate 200 of the largest railway stations in the Czech Republic. The cost of the project is estimated at roughly 8.2 billion crowns (300 million euros). The works will last three years, according to Tomáš Drmola, deputy head of the company. Stations undergoing improvements should be comparable to railway stations in western Europe once completed, he added. For the project to go ahead, the transfer of the properties from Czech Railways must be completed.
