CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive will develop the prototype of a middle-to-low-speed magnetic-levitation train by 2021, which will run at a speed of 200 km/h.
Zhou Qinghe, company’s chairman said that the design and construction will begin soon.
CRRC Zhuzhou has built 100 km/h maglev trains that have been running in China’s central province of Hunan for two years.
The prototype-carriage will be built this year, but test runs are expected to be completed in 2021.
