Contargo Rail Services opened its first hinterland agency and coordination office in Duisburg, located in the offices of Duisburg’s Intermodal Terminal. The staff on site will be responsible for classic agency services such as the commercial and dispositive handling of trains for customers as well as coordination of the transports of third parties.
“Agency services are one of the pillars of our company, which we initially provided in the seaports only. Now we also offer these services in the hinterland. Particularly centrally structured companies can benefit from this service,” explained Andreas Mager, Managing Director of Contargo Rail Services GmbH.
Contargo chose Duisburg as the location for a first branch because the largest inland port in the world is also an important hub for rail transport, Michael Lückenbach, Managing Director of Contargo Rail Services GmbH, said. “We have already started cooperating with our first customers,” he added.
