The Slovenian Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning issued a construction permit for building the second railway track between the port of Koper and Divača. Preparatory works are planned to start this year.
The application for a construction permit was filed by the Ministry of Infrastructure in December 2015. The permit is valid for three years, with the option of extending it twice for a year.
Early preparatory works on the route will start this year, while the tender for construction companies interested in building the second railway track could be published by the end of 2017. The construction phase could start in two years.
