Chongqing municipality in China believes that Latvia is an important potential cooperation partner, and by continuing developing rail freight transport between Chongqing and Europe, Latvia will have every opportunity to become a transfer point in organizing the Chinese flow of goods in the Baltic region, Vice-Mayor of Chongqing, Wang Lijun said during the discussions with representatives of the Transport Ministry. He indicated that Latvia must do everything it can in order to gain maximum benefit from the opportunities that the Chinese-Eastern European 16+1 format, and China’s geographical location offers.
