Wuhan is to build 10 metro lines in next 6 years with rail transit network up to 385km until 2020.
The new planned line is around 170km on the basis of the previous planned 215km of the 2nd round construction plan from 2010 – 2017. In total scale, Wuhan future rail transit network will reach 385km.
By then, Wuhan Metro will entirely promote the main city function, update the old downtown area, support the development of 6 new districts, disperse the downtown population to outskirt, enhance the interconnection between metro and outside network and inter-city railway lines.
