China Railway announced its subsidiaries won the construction tender for Sections I, II and III, respectively, for the new Boten-Vientiane railway project totaling Rmb 8.127 billion (EUR 1 bn). The contract duration is 60 months.
Until now, China Railway has won four of six bid sections of civil works for the China-Laos railway project. The total bid price amounts to about Rmb 10.406 billion (EUR 1.3 bn).
Boten-Vientiane railway project starts from Mohan/Boten in the north, passes through Laos’s central cities including Muang Xai, Luang Prabang and Vang Vieng, and reaches Laos’s capital Vientiane in the south.
