China Railway signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the People’s Government of Henan Province. China Railway intends to invest, during the 13th Five-Year Plan, Rmb250 billion (33.9 bn euros) in Henan Province for the construction of municipal infrastructure, planning, design, investment and construction of ultra-large key engineering projects, and industrial finance cooperation.
The projects include – but are not limited to – the development and construction of inter-city rail, urban rail transport, highways, airport-based economic comprehensive experimental zone, sponge city, urban underground pipe gallery, urban complex, parking lots and land.
The specific cooperation models may include, without limitation, PPP, EPC and general construction contracting.
