High Speed Rail Corporation of India selected a consortium led by China Railway to conduct the feasibility study for high-speed rail link between Delhi and Mumbai, Xinhua reports.
The consortium is formed by China Railway’s unit, Third Railway Survey and Design Group and local Indian companies.
According to Xinhua, India’s Ministry of Railways launced in December the tender on the elaboration of feasibility study of the high-speed railway between Delhi-Mumbai, Mumbai-Chennai and Delhi-Kolkata. Twelve companies from seven countries including the United States, Germany and France tendered.
