CNR Corp entered into 12 contracts with different companies and organisations worth about 6.5B yuan (over USD 1B), including four overseas contracts with BHP Billiton and the governments of Argentina, Brazil and Mozambique.
They include a contract with Argentina’s Ministry of Transport worth 739M yuan (USD 120M) for several units powered by diesel engines and components, one worth 225M yuan (USD 36.6M) for passenger coaches for Mozambican Government Railways and Port, one with the Transportation Ministry of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil worth 333M yuan (USD 54M) for multiple electric units and one worth 209M yuan (USD 34M) with BHP Billiton Iron Ore for wagons to transport ores.
Through these contracts, CNR is selling train carriages such as ore-transporting wagons, passenger coaches, multiple units, metro cars and wind turbines.
