China Railway Container Transport Group, Kazakhstan Railways (KTZ) and the international transport and logistic holding TransInvest Group launched a new container train between China and Iran via Kazakhstan.
The new container route is a joint project of railway administrations of China, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Iran, and is the first logistic decision in high-speed delivery of cargo from the coast of East China to the markets of the Persian Gulf, bnews.kz informs.
The route of the train follows the Chinese railway network, boundary transition of Alashankou – Dostyk, new lines of Kazakhstan (Zhezkazgan – Beyneu and Uzen – the Art. Bolashak) and further through the railway network of Turkmenistan and Iran to Tehran.
