The tender announced by the Romanian railway passenger transport operator, CFR Calatori, aims at contracting general overhaul type repair services with the modernisation of the 2049 series passenger cars, the tender being divided into two lots:
- Lot 1 – general overhaul repair services with the modernisation of passenger cars series 2049 variant I in new series 2049
- Lot 2 – general overhaul repair services with modernization of passenger cars series 2049 variant I in new series 8449
90 wagons will be refurbished and the total estimated value of the contracts for the two lots will be between RON 28.5 million (EUR 6 million) and RON 213.93 million (EUR 45.67 million).
Thus, for the first lot the contract is estimated at between RON 23.8 million (EUR 5 million) and RON 192.78 million (EUR 41.2 million).
For the second lot, the overhaul contract is estimated at a value between RON 4.7 million (EUR 1 million) and EUR 21.15 million (EUR 4.5 million).
The acquisition involves the conclusion of a framework agreement.
The deadline for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is February 26, 2019, and submissions must be valid until May 26, 2019.
