Romanian rail infrastructure manager (CFR SA) will pay around EUR 6 million, VAT excluded, to a company for several multi-purpose track work machines.
CFR SA will sign the contract with Geismar (France) for the procurement of 16 multi-purpose machines, two for each regional division of the infrastructure manager. These are the first track machines bought by CFR SA in the last ten years.
The tender for the procurement of the mixed road/rail multi-purpose track machines was initiated in November 2018. The duration of the contract is 18 months and the winner will be selected on price criteria (85%) and warranty criteria (15%).
Geismar, a company present on all continents, was established almost a century ago and manufactures track laying, monitoring and maintenance machinery for rail transport, high-speed rail included.
