Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality received the first tram from Bozankaya, that will undergo a month of testing.
Under the contract signed in August 2014, Bozankaya will have to deliver 30 trams worth EUR 42 million. The bidirectional trams are 35 m long and have five sections.
The 100% low-floor Bozankaya trams are being built in Ankara, and are being fitted with traction equipment from Traktionssysteme Austria and Polish supplier Medcom to run on the 750 V DC network.
