The total number of passengers transported by rail in Bosnia was 262,000 in the first nine months of this year, down by 1.8% from a year earlier. In the third quarter, 89,000 passengers were transported by rail, 5.2% less than in Q3 2014.
The total number of passenger-kilometres in the first nine months of the year increased by 2.2% to 17.3 million, while in the third quarter it dropped by 0.8% to 6.5 million km.
Freight transport by rail rose by 3.3% to 6.6 million t in the first nine months, while the index tonne-kilometres dropped by 1% to 661.5 million.
In the third quarter, rail cargo grew by 4.1% to 2.3 million t while the index tonne-kilometres fell by 2.6% to 233.2 million.
