Bezhitsa Steel Foundry (BSZ) obtained the conformity certificate from the Federal Budgetary Organization “Register of Certification on the Federal Railway Transport” for its new product: freight wagon solebars. This will allow BSZ to sell the product in member countries of the Customs Union. The conformity certificate is valid for 5 years.
The new reinforced solebar was designed by BSZ engineers in cooperation with the Engineering Center for Rolling Stock in St. Petersburg. The new model differs from the series-made solebars by improved durability and operating performance. Testing has showed that the new product stands out for its advanced reliability, higher quality, accurate geometry, and is capable of being operated at low temperatures. However, its installation dimensions make it fully interchangeable with the series-produced solebar. The specified lifetime of the new solebar is 32 years.
Certification tests were performed at Tver Institute for Rail Car Building and confirmed that the newly designed railway component complies with the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union.
