“Bulgarian State Railways (BDZ) owes BGN 600 million (EUR 306 mln) to creditors and shareholders,” Bulgarian interim Minister of Transport, Information Technologies and Communications, Nikolina Anelkova, said. Angelkova explained that there would be negotiations with the creditors. We now expect a notification from the European Commission (EC) for a state aid of BGN 172 million, which should be provided in the budget and concern old debts of the BDZ until 2007, mostly to the German creditors,” the interim minister said further.
