On April 19, Baku has commissioned two new metro stations on Purple Line, Avtovagzal and Memar Ajami.
Works for Avtovagzal station started in 2009. With a 560 meters platform, the station consists in two vestibules, eight exits, ventilation point and two pyramids.
Memar Ajami station has a length of 168.5 meters, three exits and an elevator for persons with disabilities.
Until 2030, Baku Metro will develop its network to 5 lines, 119 km-long network of underground tunnels and 76 stations. By 2030, 53 new stations will be constructed. Currently, Baku Metro has over 35 km long with 25 stations and three lines- Green, Red and Purple.
