Azerbaijan Railways announced that it has launched the next stage of the modernisation project for Baku-Boyuk Kasik railway line. Modernisation works include 11-km section of which 1.7-kilometer will involve track-doubling works, the modernisation of 2.15 km double and single lines at Soyug Bulag station and 7.2 km from Ganja to Alabashli.
The Baku-Boyuk Kasikr rail line has a toal length of 600 km, of which 458 km have been reconstructed. In 2015 Azerbaijan Railways started the modernisation project.
