The construction of the railway bridge over the Astara River on Azerbaijan-Iran border has been launched. Construction of the bridge is planned to be completed by the end of 2016
The railway bridge will have a 82 m length and 10 m width.
The railway bridge over Astara River will play an important role for the development of economic and commercial links between Azerbaijan and Iran, especially expansion of cooperation in cargo transportation, Iranian Minister of Communication Mahmud Vaezi said.
