Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Planning and Rail Systems Department signed the contract for the supply of the 18 rail vehicles, according to the tender held in August. The contract was signed with Hyundai, the company which had the best offer, TRY116,235,091 (USD 41 million).
The new 18 set of light rail vehicles will be put in circulation after the completion of the second phase of Antalya train network.
The tender includes spare parts and maintenance for two years. It also includes workshop equipment supply and the integration of new vehicles signalling system onto the existing system.
