The General Directorate for Infrastructure Investments in Antalya [Altyapı Yatırımları Genel Müdürlüğü (AYGM)] signed with Turkish company Makyol Construction the contract for the development of a new metro line connecting Antalya – Airport – Expo area. The contract was signed for TL 259 million (EUR 76 million).
The new line will be the extension of current tram line. 17 km of this 18-km-long railway line will be overground. The project is estimated to be completed by the end of 2016.
