Ansaldo STS granted contract by Delhi Metro Rail

05-ansaldoThe Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (DMRC) has been authorized by Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) to proceed with the implementation of the Metro Rail System for Noida – Greater Noida Corridor. DMRC has awarded the consortium made of Ansaldo STS and ZTE Corporation works for train control, signalling (CBTC) and telecommunication systems for the Noida-Greater Noida Metro project.
The scope of works is design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of train control, signalling and telecommunication systems, supply of spares and training of operation & maintenance personnel. Ansaldo STS, as leader of the consortium, is responsible for the implementation of the train control, signalling (CBTC technology-based) and part of the telecommunication systems. The value of the order is approx. 38.8 million euros.
The Noida – Greater Noida Metro Rail project has a total length of 28.086 km between centre lines of end stations, being fully constructed on an elevated viaduct with 21 elevated stations.
